In 2016, Heath came to me with a crazy idea to host a conference for RVers.
But not your classic RVer—just weird people like us who want to travel and build a business all at once. I thought he was insane, because well most of Heath’s ideas are insane. But the more we talked about it, the more excited we were.
We started putting plans in motion, mentioned it to a few key people we thought might be interested and decided to give it a go. We thought we could sell about 30 tickets, after all there aren’t THAT many people weird enough to want to live on a home on wheels full-time.
But the joke was on us, because our little 30-person conference ballooned to a full-scale 120 person conference. We were shocked (and confused and stressed at the thought of trying to pull this whole thing together in less than two months!).
That weekend in February was easily the highlight of our RVing journey. We met so many people who were just like us, with the same struggles, the same dreams, the same hilarious stories of what it was like telling our friends and family we were moving into a van down by the river. We drank wine, roasted s’mores, and listened to some incredible speakers share their stories and business advice with us all.
In this free course, you can watch our main stage speaker sessions sharing lessons on social media marketing, outsourcing, photography, and more. Plus learn from industry insiders like Winnebago and RV Share during our sponsored sessions.
Heath and Alyssa Padgett have been living, working and traveling in an RV since their wedding day in May of 2014.
During their first year of marriage, Heath & Alyssa traveled to all 50 states filming a documentary called Hourly America where Heath worked an hourly job in each state while Alyssa filmed the adventure. Their documentary work has been featured on CNN, CBS, Fox, Forbes and has led to consulting work with brands like Chick-fil-A, UPS, and Winnebago.
Together they run HeathandAlyssa.com, one of the most popular RV lifestyle blogs. Heath hosts The RV Entrepreneur Podcast, where he interviews fellow full-time RVers on what it's like running a business while traveling full-time. Heath is the CEO of Campground Booking, a software company he started from their Winnebago, while Alyssa manages their production company, Padgett Creative. They also host an annual conference for nomadic entrepreneurs called The RV Entrepreneur Summit.
Our community of nomadic entrepreneurs are very much a small population of people across the country.
While this community is growing like crazy, we rarely get a chance to connect with others who understand why we chose this lifestyle and the struggles/joys of this life.
During an in person event like the RV Entrepreneur Summit we’re able to bring all of these people into one campground. We don’t have to try and explain why it’s not crazy to want to live, work and travel the country in an RV.
Everyone already understands and wants to support others in the lifestyle. This community can help give us strength and accountability when we need it.
Our goal when recruiting speakers and workshop hosts is to assemble as much valuable information as possible (across multiple industries).
This is why last year our speakers consisted of: families, solo female travelers, professional photographers, husband & wife social media marketing teams, venture backed tech entrepreneurs, and even an RV industry leader from Winnebago.
Our goal is for you to walk away from the Summit with actionable knowledge you can use to grow your business and successfully transition into life on the road.
So many business conferences are all business, no play.
We live in RVs and the whole point is to blend these two things together and live a happy and successful life (whatever that means to you).
While you won't see all the fun we had in this course (you have to join us in real life for live music, wine, and campfires!), this a huge value for us and something we incorporate into every day of our Summit!
"In our four years and 75,000 miles of RV travel and attendance at numerous small and large RV rallies, we’ve had a lot of great experiences. But our recent weekend at the inaugural RV Entrepreneur Summit was the over the moon best."

"Thank you, thank you! For putting this together, for your thousands of hours of work, for unifying our nomadic community, for inspiring us to jump in, and for being so open and approachable. We had an incredible time and can't wait for the next one! "
